Thomas Turner

Made his own will 28 Dec 1575 and described himself as "Thomas Turnor, gent. one of the Alderman of the town of Colchester, Essex". Wife Mary was to have custody, charge, education and bringing up of his son Thomas until age 21 and hold his inheritance in trust until then. He left featherbeds at Maldon to his wife's sons John and Elias Garrington, and a gold ring to her son Edward Garrington. He mentioned his relatives as brother John Turner, his sister Coker and brother Coker, and Edward, Richard, and William Browne, sons of his brother Browne, deceased. His wife's brother Edward Coker to be one of the overseers and one of the witnesses was Thomas Lawrence. A codicil was made four days later. 30 Jun 1576, commission was granted Mary Turner, relict and executrix. A marginal note, "Mary Turner alias Pellett relict of the said deceased"
