He was the son of Robert Love and Margaret Mitchell. Married Anna P. Williams, Aug 1836, as his first wife.

1860 Mortality Census:
A. T. Love, age 48, died in March, 1860, Autauga Co, of apoplexy, death was sudden. He was widowed.
According to Chilton County and Her People, Walnut Creek Methodist church was established in 1820. Arthur (Art) Love is said to have been a charter member and the church's first pastor. (that doesn't seem to explain why he was found in Lowndes Co in 1840).
Other charter members were Abram Mims, Sr, his brother Elijah Mims and their aged mother, Lettie Mims, Doctor Logan, Steven Baker, Charles & Wesley Headley and James Monroe Parrish, all from South Carolina.
