Treasurer of Baker County and Chilton County from 1869 until the county was twenty-four years old. He was born in Charleston, SC, February 22, 1818; died February 11, 1905. He was one of the first school teachers of this section; was a crack marksman and deer hunter.
Mrs. Parrish was Jane Mims, daughter of Elijah Mims and sister of George (Dock) Mims, pioneer citizens of this County. This family likewise came to Alabama from South Carolina.
