Solomon Grant

Solomon stayed with his grandfather Buell when his father went to Pennsylvania. About 1798, he set out to the West Indies as overseer of a sugar plantation, but was never heard from again. It was supposed he perished. However, he may have survived a shipwreck, cast on an island as descendants of a Mr. King Grant in the West Indies claimed descent from Solomon Grant.
