Anna Richardson, eldest child of Capt. Amos Richardson, Jr. and Ruth Stiles, b. of record Mar. 26, 1752 at Coventry, Conn.
Find A Grave Memorial# 11483194
There is a lengthy discussion explaining more about this wife of Noah Grant III - there has apparently been an error for many years regarding her identification - she was not Anna Buell, nor Anna Buell Richardson.
Inscription:
The Hale Cemetery database claims Anna's abbreviated gravestone said:
Grant, Anna, wife of Noah, & daughter of Capt. Amos & Ruth Richardson, died Dec 8, 1786 age 37 [i.e., Æ 38]
The "Richardson Memorial" (1906), which admitted a possible error in reading her year of death, says her gravestone once said, but did not state a full date of death:
In memory of Mrs.
Anna wife of Mr.
Noah Grant and dau.
of Capt. Amos & Mrs
Ruth Richardson who
[balance below ground
or now broken off]
died 1788 in ye 38th
year of her age.
Arthur Hastings Grant in the "Grant Family..." (1898) claims she died in the year 1789. If she was Aetatis 38 at death means she died 37 years old on or after Mar. 26, 1689. Thus, the adopted date of her death is Dec. 8, 1789, Æ 38.
