Last Rites Scheduled for Thomas Lansford
Funeral services for Thomas E. Lansford, 87, who died about midnight Sunday at Memorial Hospital, were to be held today at 4 pm at Dale Lee Sherwood Memorial Chapel with Rev. Royce Herndon of the Trinity Methodist Church officiating.
Mr. Lansford, who had lived in the area since 1939, is survived by two sons, Aubrey of Clovis and Joe of Fort Lupton, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Avo Dillard of Durant, Okla.; a brother, Wesley of Whiteright, Tex.,; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1963; and by two sons.
Pall bearers at the service today were to be Donald Leatherwood, Odis Newman, Willis Newman, Jack Dunlap, John Wilson, and Roy Kirby.
Burial will be in Lawn Haven Cemetery under the direction of Sherwood Mortuary.
