There was a Robert Stockton living in Cumberland Co KY. There were also the heirs of John Stockton of Pittsylvania Co VA who came to this area- and a Robert was not named among these. I cannot positively identify the Robert in Cumberland as being this Robert, son of the Rev. Robert & Catherine Blakey but some Stockton researchers seem to think so. I include Cumberland records I have found - however, there is also indication that Robert, son of Rev. Robert & Catherine Blakely remained right there in Barren Co KY:

p.100 27 Oct 1815 Elias Barbee & Elizabeth his wife to the heirs of Robert Stockton dec'd late of Cumberland. Thirty hundred dollars [maybe should have been $300?]. All that tract in Cumberland on S side of Cumberland R. 421 ½ acres. Line of Elias Barbee's survey of 200 acres, corner in a swamp, Sarah Kirkpatrick line. Signed: Elias Barbee, Elizabeth Barbee. Elizabeth relinquished dower. Rec. 8 Jul 1816


Barren Co KY records which contradict the fact that this is the Robert Stockton found in Cumberland Co::

Probably the daughter of Robert Jr - it would appear that Robert was deceased given that Nancy gave permission, but see next record.
