Henry Lancaster VI, King of England (1422-1461)

The War of the Roses, 1455-1485, saw the English throne pass back and forth between the rival houses of Lancaster and York. Henry VI lost his throne to Edward IV for from 1461 to 1470, but seized it back again in 1470. He was murdered, stabbed in the head, while being held prisoner in the Tower of London, 21 May 1471.
On 22 Aug 1485, Henry VII, a third great grandson of Edward III, became King by right of conquest and the Tudors continued their dynasty.
