Amanda A Comstock

(25 Nov 1810/1811 - 4 Jun 1894)

The Comstock Family in America book has it all wrong concerning Amanda. She was not married to her cousin W. A. Comstock [who is likely placed in the wrong family - there's scant proof of his very existence]. She did have a son out of wedlock who used the Comstock surname - according to family records and letters, this son was fathered by her sister's husband Nehemiah Huntley. Y-DNA testing of a descendant of the son, Henry Alonzo Comstock, does indeed match that of Huntley descendants.

Amanda did later marry Calvin Miller and have children with him - they are buried together in Marlow, NH.
