Hester Comstock

Jonathan was killed in a barn raising - Hester then married his brother Nehemiah. Her name is also seen in several references as Elizabeth - but all indications are that Hester and Elizabeth are the same lady.

Nehemiah is said to have fathered Hester's sister Amanda's son, Henry Alonzo Comstock. The 1850 census shows Nehemiah is by then married to a Harriett.
