VA Publick Claims: John Poindexter Junr for musket & bayonet for Louisa Militia not returnd #4.10 [There's more than one John who could have been designated "Jr". John who married Christian "Kitty" Gissage was deceased 1753. His sons Thomas, William, & Joseph all had a John who could be designated "Jr" since they also had an uncle John Poindexter. That uncle - John Poindexter, son of John & Kitty, has no sons John as far as is known.
John Poindexter for 3 ½ bu rye, 2 bu corn, etc.

Will probated 13 Aug 1810, Campbell Co VA. Lent slaves, stock & household furniture to wife what she think proper - the remainder and after her decease to be divided betweed daughters Elizabeth Slaughter and Ann Cobbs. One half to Elizabeth Slaughter, the other half to executors for support of Ann Cobbs & her children & after her deceased to be divided among her children. The tract where I live to Doc. John C. Cobss. Other lands to be sold & equally divided amongst all my grandchildren, John P. Slaughter & John P. Cobbs excepted to have no part. After decease of my wife servant Phill to be at his lliberty and not made to labor and my servant Davy to take care of him. Trusty friends Charles Slaughter of Campbell Co and William Armistead of Charlotte Co my executors. 26 May 1810.
