Abijah Comstock

Abijah and his four sons fought against the British at the burning of Norwalk by Gen. Tryon, 11 Jul 1779.
Abijah owned a slave, Cesar, who died in 1773 leaving a will which gave most of his belongings to his master and his master's children. Many of his possessions existed of books - although he did not sign his name. He did leave items to two fellow slaves. His master, Abijah Comstock, was appointed as executor.
