In 1860 she was living with her mother and her mother's sister & her husband, Josiah and Lydia Maples, Christian Co, MO; in 1870 she was with Daniel Rickets in Dent Co, MO - his apparent wife not old enough to be Harriet's mother. She married (1) to Pleasant B. Worsham, Johnson Co, TX, 6 May 1875. They are in the Johnson, TX census in 1880. James Ernest & Oscar Frank were her Worsham sons.

James E. and Harriett M. Dixon are buried Pilot Grove Cemetery, Pilot Grove, Grayson Co, TX. The note on FindAGrave says that Harriet brought three daughters, Lillie, Rebecca & Anne, to the marriage which doesn't agree at all with the 1900 census. Lillie & Rebecca were both daughters of James Dixon and there was no daughter named Anne - perhaps the name Lena was misread. The same note states that Daniel Ricket's wife, O. E. was her mother - but she was only 8 years older than Harriett and obviously was not her mother, nor mother to her brother Samuel, unless her age was stated wrong.
