Samuel is said in an online database to have first married Elizabeth Harrison, born 1859, daughter of Shelton Baker Harrison and Angeline Gray. No marriage date recorded. This is wrong in several ways.
Shelton Baker Harrison had no daughter named Elizabeth - he did have a sister Elizabeth but it seems not to have been her either unless they married much later - in their elder years.
Shelton did have a stepdaughter named Elizabeth, daughter of Leannah Lakes & Fielding Isaccs - making her a niece of Samuel's and she was much younger, born about 1859. And, indeed, Elizabeth Isaacs married 1875 to Wansley Powell.
As Elizabeth Isaacs, daughter of John B. Harrison, she was living back at home with her father in 1860, in Jackson Co, with three young children: James B. Isaacs 5, Sarah 3, and Samuel age 1. No marital status is indicated and these children's ages overlap with those of Samuel above. She apparently had been married to an Isaacs - just not Samuel.
Samuel did marry Eliza Jane Crawford, about 1847, Owsley Co, KY. They had eight children born between about 1848 and 1871. They are in Jackson Co KY in 1860 with seven of them - all born since 1848.
