Individual Details

Mary was living with her son Henry and his family in Lafayette Co, MO in 1900, 1910, and 1920. In 1910, she said she had 10 children, 4 living. I have found only six.

Mary's death certificate [Missouri #15183] says that her father was John Garner. W. E. Comstock of Lexington was the informant. The death certificate of daughter Lillie, states her mother was Marie Eliz. Clark - Mrs. Mary Jenkins was the informant. Lillie's twin, William Comstock's death certificate gives his mother's name as Mary Eliz. Burton. [Actually William's wife's mother was Elizabeth Burton so that may be the source of that error.]

Mary died of Diabetes, at home. She was a widow. The informant knew nothing about her mother.

I have tried to find a John Garner living in Iowa in 1860, just prior to Mary's marriage to Henry Comstock, but have not found him.
