Individual Details

For reasons I don't understand, most of the online databases show that Robert died in Albemarle Co, VA. Since the families had all moved to Kentucky before 1800, I doubt this. Robert said to have married Polly Taylor, daughter of James Taylor 6 Jul 1814, Madison Co KY. James Taylor also provided security for the bond.

This is the Robert who married Mary "Polly" Taylor, 6 Jul 1814. He had come to Madison Co with his parents. He served in the War of 1812. He also went out to Missouri territory with Daniel Boone, but must have returned. He lived to be nearly 100 years old, died near Drowning Creek in Kentucky.

There were two Robert Harrises still in Madison Co in 1850. This one, and the Robert Harris that married Jael Ellison. They were first cousins and very close to the same age - both gave their age as 63 in 1850
