In one of those very weird quirks of fate, Alvin Haggard is a second cousin twice removed of George William Haggard who married Parthena Hays, sister to my gg grandfather, Elias B. Hays. And he is a third cousin, once removed, to Wash Haggard who married Viola Wood, sister to my great grandma Ellen Wood Comstock.

Beverly Price Haggard, 55 years old, one-time resident of Boone county and well known in Centralia died at his homw in Kansas City at 6:30 o'clock Friday night. His death was due to heart disease.
...Mr. Haggard was born on a farm near Hallsville where he lived until the death of his father, Alvin Haggard, and his mother, with her two daughter, cinnie and Mary Zilpha, moved to Columbia, where the girls attended Stephens College and Mr. Haggard attended the University. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity.
Mr. Haggard was named after Beverly Price, founder of the Boone County National Bank, who was an intimate friend of Mr. Haggard's father.
Mrs. Haggard is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W. Johnston of Fulton, and a niece of Judge David H. Harris...
