I'm pretty sure Mahala married James Laforse, as found in the 1850 Dade Co MO. They were in the same district as her parents and married sister Dolly, and she was close to the right age and born in Tennessee. Obviously James had been married previously and had older children. However, there is a young daughter named Alzada [her mother's name] and one named Dolly [her sister's name].
