Ancestry wants to attach records of an Ephraim Halseil or Helseil to this person - he was born in Ohio, but I have nothing to suggest it is indeed the same person. His daughter Lula's birth record has Lula "Helsey".

EPHRAIM HELSIEL
Ephraim Heisiel, 76, died at his home on Morrison street in Nevada at 11 o'clock Friday night following a week's illness. Death was attributed to congestion of the lung.
Ephraim Halsiel was born at Forrest on July 14, 1865, to Henry and Delitha Shaffer Helsiel. He had resided at Nevada most of his life and was the last of his family. He was united in marriage to Amy Dixon. Surviving are two daughters.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Bender and Lucas funeral home at Nevada. Rev. E. E. Prescott officiated. Interment was made in Nevada cemetery.

Delitha Helsey died at her home, in Nevada, Saturday morning at 7 o'clock. Death was due to cancer. Mrs. Helsey was past seventy-nine years old. She was the mother of seven children, of whom three survive. They are Ephraim Helsey and Mrs. Ann Helsey, at home, and Mrs. Mary Hammaker, in Nevada. She also leaves ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
