1 June 1857 - a Robert Dixon was appointed Postmaster, 1 Jun 1857, Nevada, Wyandot Co, Ohio.

It's odd but I cannot find a Robert Dixon of this age, born in Pennsylvania, in 1813 - except for men that seem to have wives and several children, some of whom were young enough that they should be in his household in 1860. But one of the Robert Dixons was in Wyandot Co, Ohio, where Ann seems to have returned after the death of Robert. It is a strange household:

Are the Ladow's kin to Robert? Or is he just living with the family? Selah Ladow married Mary Ann Cummins, 7 Apr 1847, Crawford Co, OH - so their doesn't seemed to be a kinship.
Then Robert married late in the year to Anna Hall?
