There are receipts signed 25 Jan 1833 from Isabella, Sally and Jane Dale stating that they had received the whole of their share from the estate of Samuel Dale, from their brother Alexander. Also, their mother signed a receipt on the same day, that she had received her dower claim of one third from her son Alexander Dale, the administrator of her husband Samuel Dale, deceased. So she was still living in 1833; her handwriting was very clear if a little shaky.

In 1850, Isabella lived her mother. In 1860, she was head of the household,age 53. Her age had been 40 in 1850. Isabella Lawson, age 31, lived with her - probably her niece the daughter of her sister Rebecca. Thomas Dale age 7 and Saml Dale age 16 were listed but they also seem to be in their father Alexander's household.
