Edmund was baptized at Dedham, 23 Jun or Oct, 1599. He married 2 Nov 1648, Dengle, Essex, to his first wife Sarah Paynter who was buried, Dedham, 8 Sep 1656. He married as a widower, (2) Grace Stevens of Stratford, Essex on 8 Dec 1656. There is no indication he ever left England. He was a "clothier" as were several of the Shermans listed in the Calendar of Wills in the Canterbury Prerogative Court, Origins.net
His will dated 11 Apr 1673, and proved 28 May 1673, names his wife Grace and makes her Executrix. There were three children, John, Martha & Edmund.
