The Pippin Pathways book gives Lonzo Lee "Lon" Pippin as born 14 Feb 1891, in Jewett, Madison Co MO. He died 26 Aug 1979 in Fredericktown, Madison Co MO. The marriage to Elma West ended in divorce as recorded in the Circuit Court Records of Madison Co MO, 27 Mar 1925. Lon then married Dollie Sylvesta DeSpain on 6 Feb 1929.

The Pippin book also states that Alma committed suicide by jumping off a bridge in St. Louis. This is substantiated by a copy of a newspaper story - Alma Frantz was living at the time in Detroit and visiting her sister Gussie in St. Louis when she jumped from the Eads Bridge.

Lon Pippin was the 4th son of William B. Pippin who was the brother of Andy Pippin, shot & killed by George H. Young. William was having a welcome home party for Andy who had just returned from Argentina.
