Some have said Mary was born in Arkansas, possibly she was born while the family was visiting relatives in Baxter Co. Her father did state in his pension application that he lived in Baxter Co from 1878 to 1800. However, the 1900, 1910 & 1920 censuses all have Mary as born in MO.
