T. P. Atticus Bibb married Mary Scott Snead on 26 Sep 1851.
He states in his family papers: "My two boys and myself, George & Scott, left Kentucky in March 1861 and joined the Confederacy at Montgomery, Ala. I was in civil service C.S.A. until close of War, returning to Ky. June 1866, the Yankees would not allow me to come sooner although I was paroled as Captain 4th Va. Vols."
