Samll Benton was married to Mary Pomeroy, daughter of Medad Pomeroy of North Hampton, January 2nd, 1705.
The REGISTER also gives a birth date of 8 Aug 1689.

Samuel Slade Benton book gives Samuel's birth as 28 Jan 1680, which is much more likely correct.

The Tolland CT vital records state:
Mr. Samuel Benton died Feb. 8th 1763, aged 83.
This can only be this particular Samuel as his son of the same name had several children whose births were recorded after this date.
