Nathan Comstock

Nathan Comstock was Quaker. He was a teacher in Nantucket and Cashier of the bank there. In 1811 the family moved to New York City where for 40 years he was in business dealing in whaling products at 191 Front St. He lost $75,000 by Jacob Barker's failure.
