Mary married Charles J. Haymes on 3 Jun 1822, Halifax Co VA. They moved to Henry Co TN. There were 10 children. One of the sons, William Russell Haymes, b. 11 Dec 1827 in VA and d. 8 Nov 1894 in TX, married Emily Walters on 25 Aug 1848 in Henry Co TN. They were cousins. Emily said b. 31 Dec 1827, Henry Co TN and d. 28 Jun 1904 in Hays County, TX.

Actually it appears that Mary Russell died quite young, after the birth of the first two children - there is a second marriage for Charles J. Haymes, 27 Apr 1833, Pittsylvania Co, to Mary Ann Anderson, daughter of William B. Anderson. Some of the children would have been the second Mary's.
