Amelia Mabry

Amelia married Thomas Dickens who died in the Civil War at Point Lookout prison camp, then a Howard who died in Indiana, and then Peter Goad after returning to Carroll Co.
On 28 Nov 1921 she applied for a Civil War widow's pension in which she stated Thomas Dickens received wounds which caused his capture and death. She mentioned she had married Peter Goad in 1902 and that he was dead.

Milly Goad of Sylvaters, Carroll Co, VA, died 6 Feb 1932 of pneumonia and old age. She was a widow - had been married to Peter Goad. Born, 22 Mar 1839 in Virginia. Parents were Isaac Mabry and Sookie Dalton. John W. White was the infomant. Buried Southern Cemetery, 7 Feb 1932.
