Franklin Pierce Turman

Franklin married on 16 Jan 1878, Floyd Co, to Lourinda Thompson, daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth Layman Thompson. They were divorced. He came back to his brother James to stay and died in a few days. He is buried Elijah Turman Cemetery, Dugspur, Carroll, VA. Lourinda is buried in Greensboro, NC along with an infant they lost in 1892.

His father was Christopher Turman, born Floyd County; his mother Lucy Mabry, born Floyd Co. Jas. M. Turman, Sr. of Dug Spur was the informant.
