Here is one Jonathan:
Wright Co. MO. History Volume 2.
ADAMSON- Jonathan Adamson was born about 1781 in Indiana, son of David Adamson. He married Sarah Teague in Bloomington, IN (Monroe Co), in 1818. By 1840 the Adamson family was in Pulaski County, Missouri. Children of Johnathan and Sarah were Eliza (1820), Alfred (1824), William R. (1826), Elizabeth, Mora, Susan, Martha, and Jonathan, all born in Indiana.
Jonathan, Sarah and the unmarried children moved to Crawford County, Arkansas before 1848, Sarah died there in 1848. Jonathan was a farmer, he was also sheriff of Crawford County for several years. He served as Justice of the Peace and in the Arkansas State Legislature. Jonathan Adamson died in Crawford County, Arkansas in 1861.
Eliza Adamson married Zack Wilson in Indiana, their children George A., Mary G., Elizabeth, Jonathan, Teresa, Zacheus Charles and Alfred. Eliza died 1861/70, probably in Wright or Lacleda County. Alfred Adamson married Sarah Coday in Wright County in 1841. Their children Jonathan, Samuel, Zed, Elizabeth, Elender, James, William and Riley. Alfred was a member of the Union Army Co. H, MO S.M. Cav., he died in Wright County in 1881. Williarm R. Adamson married Rachell Franklin in Wright County. Their known children Sarah, William, Jonathan, James A., Susannah and Eliza. William was a wagoneer during the Civil War. in the 16th MO Cav. William and Rachel were deceased by 1870, some of their children were living with the William Butler family.
Jonathan Adamson Jr. went to Texas after the death of his parents. He served in the Confederte Army. He married Margaret Huffaker in Grayson County, Texas. They were parents of nine children. Jonathan was a farmer and also owned a hotel in Grayson County.
There are many descendants of Alfred, William and Eliza Adamson Wilson living in the Wright County area. I am a Descendant of Zack and Eliza Wilson through their son George A. and wife Mary Jane Prock. (Submitted by Virginia Long).

Then the following story from Grayson Co, TX, doesn't quite match - certainly Jonathan did NOT live until 1861 - Lucy was a widow by 1860. However maybe the "Greene Co Jonathan (1830) is the same as the Pulaski MO Jonathan of 1840. That would also call into question the relationship in 1820 of the Jonathan & David living next to each other and possible father/son.
Biographical Sketch of Jonathan Adamson, Jr. (Published in
"Souvenirs of Texas", Grayson County, Texas reads differently than what you
have quoted.....
".....Jonathan Adamson, Sr., was born in Indiana and lived there to maturity,
moving when a young man to Greene County, Missouri, where he lived about ten
years. He then moved to Crawford County, Arkansas, where he died in 1861 in
the seventieth year of his age. He was a farmer and pursued his calling
steadily and successfully all his life. He occupied a number of official positions
in different localities where he lived; was sheriff of his native county, also
represented Greene County in the State Legislature during his residence
there, and was Justice of The Peace for many years in Crawford County,
Arkansas....."

1850 Census. Richland Twp, Crawford, AR, Hh 86
Johnathan Adamson, age 50. Lucy 25.
NOTE: Jonathan was likely some older but did not want to admit that in view of his much younger wife...
