Mary Ann McGill Williams

Ann was the daughter of John McGill Williams. Her grandfather was Walter Williams; her grandmother, Ann McGill, belonged to an ancient family, the American head of which was Rev. James McGill, a native of Perth, Scotland, who settled in Maryland in 1728 and was the first rector of Queen Caroline Parish, Elkridge, Anne Arundel Co. Ann's maternal grandfather was Dr. Lyles, of Montgomery Co MD, was wife was a Miss Jones of Prince George's County. Ann and John W. Breathed were first cousins - sharing their grandfather, Dr. Lyles.

Buried in the Episcopal Church Graveyard at Lappan's Crossroads:
Ann McGill Breathed, age 42 years, 11 months, 22 days, died 14 March 1862. There is an infant son [no dates] also buried with Ann and John, as well as a daughter Jane and a daughter Kate.
