George Allen Tharp brought his large family to De Soto Parish, namely the community of KEACHI in the early 1840's. He died there in Nov 1851. Then most of the family moved to east Texas after the start of the Civil War. I am seeking any information on these families. Especially his second wife Martha Amanda Bullard (they married in Mississippi in 1832). I'm also trying to find out where he is buried. His son, William Allen Tharp, donated the land for the Mt Carmel Methodist Church. Any one with infomation please contact me. Also, please visit my website: Tharpgenealogy.com No log-in is required.
