The family moved to Detroit, Michigan. Suggested children include Raymond, Mable, Ellis, Earl, Jewell, Lola, and Ernest.

Found in 1920 Census, Wayne Co, MI [Detroit]. Listed as living with married daughter, Mable.
John Parks, age 22, b. MO as were his parents. He was working as a machine hand in an auto factory. Mabel, his wife was age 18, b. MO. Ida Reed was listed as mother-in-law, age 45, b. Illinois. Charles was father-in-law, age 46, b. MO also working as a machine hand in an auto factory. Raymond age 20, b. MO was an operator, auto factory. Ellis age 16, Ernest, age 14, Earl age 12, Jewel [female] age 7 and Lola age 5. All the children were born in Missouri so apparently they had come to Detroit since the birth of Lola.

Charles Albert reed, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Reed of French Mills, was born april 20, 1873 and died March 5, 1945, aged 71 years, 10 months, and 11 day.s
He was united in mariage to Miss Ida May Jett on Feb 20, 1898. to this union seven children were born: Raymond, Mrs. Maple Parks, Ellis, Ernest, Earl, Mrs. Jewell Teed, and Mrs. Lola Aho. To mourn his death he leaves his wife and children, 23 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, all of Detroit, one sister, Mrs. Sina Gleich of Fredericktown, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Reed was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage on March 1st and was found unconscious in the morning by his wife. He lived five days.
Funeral services were held at the Bethel Nazarene Church where they attended, followed by interment in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
