Malissa Picket's parents may have been James & Mary A. Picket who lived in Madison Co MO in 1870, about 5 years after Malissa had married John Reed, according to the Armengol file. Maybe, but Malissa was not with them in 1860.

By 1880, Mary Picket was a widow so there was no further opportunity to check the age of James. In 1900, Mary A. Pickett, mother in law, was living with her daughter Mary Susan & William Copeland. She was age 71, b. Jan 1829. She had 3 children, 3 still living. Mary Susan was one child, William H. probably another; was Malissa the third?
