MRS. K.M. FRY, OROVILLE, DIES; EARLY SETTLER
Funeral services for Mrs. Katerine M. Fry, 84, who died at her home, 2923 Yard St, at 7 pm Saturday, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in Hamilton & Riley's. The Rev. W. J. Johnson will conduct the rites. Interment will be in Forbestown cemetery.
Mrs. Fry had been an invalid for several years.
She was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and came to California at the age of 4 years with her parents. The family first lived in St. Louis, Sierra County. Later they made their home in Marysville and in Hansonville. In 1870, Mrs. Fry was married to R. B. Fry. After the marriage, the Frys moved to Forbestown, moving in 1917 to Oroville. Her husband died here the same year.
Mrs. Fry was the mother of five children, three of whom are still living. Survivors are three sons, E. B. Fry and J. O. Fry, both of Oroville, and M. E. Fry of Reno. Twelve grandchildren also survive.
