Mrs. Martha E. Williams died at St. Joseph's Infirmary, Hot Springs, Garland Co, on 30 Dec 1936, of acid gastric indigestion and chonic myocarditis. Her residence was 311 W. Grand Avenue. She was a widow - her husband was Robert L. Williams. She was born 20 Oct 1851 in Cove, Ark. Her father was Peter B. Allen; her mother Amanda Hoskins - both bor in New York State. Miss Florence Williams of 311 W. Grand Ave, Hot Springs, was the informant. Buried Hollywood Cemetery, 1 Jan 1937.

Hot Springs, Dec. 31 - Mrs. Martha E. Williams, 85, resident of Hot Springs for 65 years and widow of Robert L. Williams, sheriff of Garland County for many years, died last night in a hospital here. Born in Cove, Polk County, October 29, 1851, she moved to Hot Springs at the age of 20. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Miss Florence Williams and Mrs. W. W. Gentry of Hot Springs, and Mrs. Josephine Hudlow of Texarkana. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Gross Chapel by the Rev. J. L. Dedman, First Methodist Church.
