Individual Details

Virginia Ann McLemore

(3 May 1852 - 27 Aug 1925)

Virginia found living with Anderson in the 1870 Census. Gave her age as 16, but Anderson & Sallie were married in July of 1854. Virginia could be a daughter of the first wife. Anderson's obituary states that he had five children by the first wife, three by the second, and four by the third wife. Only four of these children were living when he died in 1896.

A Mrs. Virginia A. Crowley, received a bequest as a daughter in the will of Anderson McLemore dated in 1885. Anderson's obituary states that one child of the first wife was still living in December of 1896. This would seem to indicate that Virginia was a child of the first wife.

Annie McLemore married J. S. Crowley in Hopkins Co TX on 25 Nov 1874; Marriage Book 4, p.95.
