Individual Details
William PICKEL
(Abt 1817 - )
An older male is found in both the 1830 and 1840 Censuses. I think he is not Isaac - see notes for Isaac.
Was there a son named William? I found this note on FamilySearch.org:
Sold daughter Mary and husband Minor Lynn a parcel of land for $1.00 which was designated to go upon their deaths to eldest son William. (Name is spelled "Linn" in this document) But does mean Mindart & Barbara's eldest son William or their grandson, son of daughter Mary & Minor Lynn?) It is true that there is a quit claim deed which may be similar to this one and perhaps this one could be found in the same place:
Hunterdon Co. New Jersey Deeds, Special Deeds vol. 2. page 22 Barbara Pickle, wife of Minor Pickle of Franklin Co, State of Ohio, for $1.00 of Baltus A. Pickle, quit claim, to 120 acres in Readington, Hunterdon Co. conveyed by my husband, Minor Pickle to Baltus A. Pickle, March 2, 1816, Dated Nov. 29, 1828. City of Columbus, Ohio Recorded in 1828.
By 1840, Myndart Pickel and all four of his sons-in-law were living in Schuyler Co, IL - there is no other male Pickel in residence. I suspect that the eldest son was deceased - likely never married.
