Hannah Goad
(Nov 1695 - )
Hannah was first married to Tobias Phillips, son of John and Elizabeth (Tobias) Phillips. She had at least five Phillips children.
Hannah moved to Pittsylvania Co VA about 1766, settling on the Pigg River [now in Franklin Co].
Lawsuits in Pittsylvania Co over the slave of William Dodson, reveal more about the family. Heirs of Fortunatus & Alice Goad Dodson [nieces & nephews] were Alice Dodson Dale, Samuel Dodson who was deceased leaving a son Forten Dodson, and Ann Dodson Cornelius Phillips who married Hannah's son George Phillips.
Hannah's son William died in Pittsylvania Co, and Hannah Dodson & son George moved to Henry Co. to live with John Burch, husband of Hannah's daughter Sarah.
