There were several marriages between the Goad and Dodson families. Elizabeth's sister, Hannah, a widow of Tobias Phillips married William Dodson, a nephew of this John. Another sister, Alice, married Fortunatus Dodson, another nephew. William & Fortunatus were sons of Charles Jr.
Will dated 7 Mar 1733; recorded 1 Jul 1734. Named grandson William, son of William Goad dec'd, the plantation where Mary Goad now live. Son John Goad and wife, land above north fork of Briery Swamp. Son Abraham, all land south side spring branch. Son Peter Goad, land north side spring branch. Daughters Hannah Phillips, Elizabeth Dodson, Alice Dodson. Executor: wife Catherine and son John.
