Also living with the family was Thomas G. Penn, a dry goods merchant, age 35 and Elizabeth Penn, age 14, likely his daughter, at school. Susan Hardie, age 16, was also at school. Ruth Sheffield, a Black lady, age 35, listed as Domestic Servant. All born in Virginia.
