Charles Dodson
(2 Feb 1747 - 2 May 1831)
Born in Virginia, although unexplainably his tombstone says England. Charles married Lucy Morgan probably in North Carolina. They lived for a time in South Carolina on the Keowee River but returned to NC. 15 May 1777, he enlisted in the Company of Capt Joseph Phillips, 4th NC Regt under the command of Col. Thomas Polk and served to the end of the war. He later moved to Warren Co KY, the part that was later Allen Co.
