James was listed after the younger sisters in 1870. I'm assuming he is another son. His age was difficult to read - 19 or 17, even 12, are all possibilities. Researchers of the Mills give his year of birth as 1857, so he was 12.

James married Sophia A. Harness, 9 May 1880, Crawford Co AR. He was 23, she was 16, both lived at Lee's Creek, Crawford Co.
