Elizabeth MICHAUX

(1701 - 1735)

HISTORICAL & GENEALOGY OF THE WOODSONS AND THEIR CONNECTIONS by Henry Morton Woodson. Elizabeth, born about 1701, could have been born in Holland, London, or after they arrived in Virginia. Said to have married Sanbourn Woodson. A John Epperson had several children baptized at St. Peter's Parish, New Kent Co, VA, and had a wife Elizabeth - some has "assumed" she was Elizabeth Michaux but I've found no proof of that surname AND she was in New Kent, not Goochland where she was raised. Some on FamilySearch have given her a husband William Tucker - he had children born Bristol Parish, Prince George - again an unlikely place and the children are born both too early and some too late to be this Elizabeth. Lots of assumptions - but not proof.

Some sources say born about 1709 which seems more likely.

Married Sanburn Woodson. [The only Sanburn Woodson I could find in a WorldConnect file married Elizabeth Hughes. I have seen Elizabeth linked with someone else. I don't believe anyone knows for sure just who Elizabeth married but both Woodson & Michaux histories give this marriage.]
