William married Nancy Bell in Tennessee and the first daughter was probably born in Tennessee; soon after they moved to Newton Co MO.

1850 Census, Benton Twp, Newton Co MO; p.348, Household 359. William Jameson age 37, b. KY. Rebecca age 20, b. MO. Elizabeth age 8, James 6, Nancy 3, Martha 1, and Permelia, one month old. Elizabeth, James & Nancy were children of the first wife.

Served in the 15th Regt. in the Missouri Cavalry in the Civil War; discharged at Springfield, MO. Moved to Benton Co, AR after the War.
