REVOLUTION. DIED AUG. 18. 1846, age 84 yrs 11 mos. 28 days.

(Note --- Nathaniel Slade was a Revolutionary soldier who came through Caswell Co. N.C. during the war, met Elizabeth Perry Yancey and married her. Pension record for Nathaniel Slade.)

Nathan Slade stated he was born 21 Aug 1761 in Baltimore Co, MD. He was a child about four years old, when his parents moved to Orange Co, NC, now Caswell. His parents died leaving five sons, four daughters - he was the third son. There are pages from a family Bible with dates of family members.

Elizabeth P. Slade applied after his death.

Some databases give this Nathaniel a second marriage to Betsey Riggs, 10 Sep 1813, Craven NC. I don't see how this is possible, given that Mrs. E. P. (Elizabeth Perry) Slade was his widow and they had married 26 Jun 1792, Caswell.
