Stephen MITCHELL
( - 6 May 1715)
Records of a Stephen Mitchell are found in the Vestry records of St. Peters Parish. He was likely a brother of the older Thomas based on the dating of his records.
In May of 1689, Stephen Mitchell was one of the processioners to remark the bounds of all the lands in the Parish. In Jun of 1698, Stephen Mitchell & Stephen Mitchell Jr were asked to help clear the roads in the precincts - they worked togeth in this capacity again in 1700 and 1705.

Notes
Death
Two Stephen Mitchell have death records in the St. Peters Registry only about 5 years apart. It is obviously the two older Stephens as a young Stephen has children born in the mid 1720's. It also seems that Stephen Jr. had a son Thomas, born in 1718 - at that time his name was given just as Stephen Mitchell.Endnotes
