Individual Details
Ann Henderson
(13 Mar 1738/39 - )
Ann possibly married Adam Potter in South Carolina because she joined her sister Mary and Elizabeth and brothers John and William on Grindal Shoals on the Pacolet River in South Carolina. However this is highly questionable.

Ann (Henderson) Williams would have been dead by 1851, according to the Draper Manuscripts (a letter by a Henderson descendant to Lyman Draper in 1870), for one thing.
Adam Potter, brother to Stephen Potter, died in Union County, S.C., about 1801.At least his will, dated 1799, was proven there in 1801.
I believe that Adam Potter's wife was a Henderson, but not Ann.It quite possibly could have been Ann's sister, Elizabeth, who had first married John Beckham. The Beckhams also moved to South Carolina.I believe they were the ones who were raising Angelica Mitchell, Elizabeth's niece, after Angelica's parents moved to Tennessee. The Draper Mss says that Angelica "remained in South Carolina with an aunt" when her parents, Joab and Mary (Henderson) Mitchell, moved to Tennessee.
The letter in Draper Mss on Ann Henderson: "born 13 March 1739...married her cousin Daniel Williams. ... They had many children and soon after the termination of the War [Revolutionary] removed to the neighborhood of Ninety Six in the State of South Carolina. And I have scarecely heard of the family since, except that both father and mother soon died after settling in the country."
