John & Nathaniel Mowry admitted as freemen in Providence 1 May 1672.

p.191 22 Feb 1706/7 Nathaniel Mawrey of Providence sold to Edward Manton one full right of land on the West side of the Seven Mile line which right did originally belong to Richard Pray, now deceased. The said quarter part of the said Right the said Richard Pray sold to me. Laid out unto me 37 1/2 acres according to the Order of the town concerning a devision of 150 acres laid out unto each person that had one full right in those lands on the West side of the Seven Mile line.

Deposition given by Nathaniel on 6 Jan 1710/11 states that he was then age 66 or born about 1644.

n 1682, Providence appointed commissioners to run the lands and define boundaries. Deed granted to John & Nathaniel Mowry, Edward Inman & Stephen Arnold was signed by the commissioners. Arthur Fenner, William Hopkins, John Whipple, Jr., Thomas Olney, Jr., Richard Arnold. It was for 3500 acres of land from the west side of Woonsocket Hill eastward nearly to Pawtucket and from Woonsocket and the Blackstone river on the north, southerly nearly to Stillwater & Georgiaville. Two parcels.

Nathaniel died 24 Mar 1717/18 - over 73 years of age.

Son Nathaniel, 100 acres, Wansecutt hill, within twp of Providence
Son John, 10 acres adj his homestead, 30 acres on west side of Wansecutt hille, ½ of 60 acres of land in partnership between myself & son John
Son Henry, 50 acres off the north side of my homestead, whereon I now dwell, within the twp of Providence
Son Joseph the remainder of my homestead, 110 acres with the dwelling house; allowing his mother to live there for the term of her natural life
Daughter Martha Mawrey, ½ house lot in town of Providence, and half a right in the Common Lands on the east side of the seven mile line, being the original right of Richard Pray. Also a small piece of meadow
To loving wife Johannah, my dwelling house during her lifetime; all my household goods to be equally divided among my 6 daughters: Sarah Phillips, Mary Arnold, Johannah Pheteplace, Patience Smith, Marcy Smith & Experience Malavory
To the same 6 dau: all my stock of cattle to be divided except one cow already given to dau Martha Mawrey.
Two sons Joseph & Henry to care of their mother.
